Polka dots at Ascot

Firstly, let’s start with probably my favourite Duchess of Cambridge look in June; a sophisticated polka-dot dress and flower-embellished fascinator she wore to Royal Ascot. Of course, the elegant Alessandra Rich outfit was a tribute to Princess Diana, who attended the same event in a similar look 32 years before.

Pale Yellow look

Undoubtedly, the Duchess of Cambridge looked fabulous in pale yellow for the thanksgiving service on June 3. That is to say, she chose an Emilia Wickstead dress and a matching Philip Tracey hat for the event at London’s St Paul’s cathedral.

All white at Waterloo Station

White seems indeed to be the predominant Colour of June as the Duchess of Cambridge chose looks in this hue on several occasions. She wears an all-white suit to the National Windrush Monument unveiling at Waterloo Station. And since she is the Queen of recycling outfits, this is the second time we see Kate in the sleek Alexander McQueen two-piece that nods to the iconic YSL suit Bianca Jagger wore on her wedding day.

Trooping the Colour in blue and white

Kate Middleton chose one of her favourite British fashion designers for the Trooping the Colour celebration. She appeared in a white Alexander McQueen blazer and midi skirt ensemble. The Duchess of Cambridge also wore a blue and white hat by Philip Tracey, the milliner genius and darling of royals and celebrities.

A white shirt dress

Another white look for the Duchess of Cambridge, who attended a memorial service at the foot of Grenfell Tower in London on June 14. The Suzannah London belted midi dress embellished with black buttons combined to perfection with her Alessandra Rich black and white pumps nodding the Roaring Twenties style. The royal had already worn this summer dress to Wimbledon in 2019 and again in 2020 to visit the Baby Basics U.K.

Bright blue at Windsor Castle

For The Order Of The Garter Service this June, the Duchess of Cambridge stuck to her signature-style coat dresses. She combined her bright blue Catherine Walker outfit with a matching fascinator by Juliette Botterill Millinery and Aquazzura slingback pumps.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s radiant fuchsia look

The Duchess of Cambridge chose a vibrant look for the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Pageant on June 5 in London. Wearing a fuchsia Stella McCartney dress with ballooned sleeves, Kate Middleton looked radiant on the balcony. The midi dress embellished with a sash-like across the torso shows British fashion at its best.

Two-in-one look

Fashion savvy, the Duchess of Cambridge uses clever styling tricks to adapt her looks to her busy schedule in June. For example, she wore a  powder blue long coat over a lavender L.K. Bennett chiffon dress at the Fitzwilliam Museum for unveiling the joint portrait of the royal couple. Then, she changed her pumps for stylish and comfortable espadrilles and took the coat off to go to Cambridgeshire County Day at Newmarket Racecourse during her official visit to Cambridgeshire

We saw in June the unveiling of the first joint portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, where Kate Middleton wears a metallic emerald green look. Quite a risky choice for a royal portrait. The painter Jamie Coreth portrayed her in the Falconnetti dress by The Vampire’s Wife, the British go-to label of fashionistas like Sienna Miller and Alexa Chung. She completed her outfit with Manolo Blahnik’s classic Hangisi pumps, diamond and pearl bracelet and earrings from Princess Diana. A pearl and diamond brooch from the Queen’s jewellery collection embellishes her dress.
