We love Esther Quek’s style

We love a woman in a suit, and that is precisely Esther Quek’s style signature. The journalist, fashion and beauty editor is usually in sharply tailored suits, channelling a boyish style like no one. Esther Quek’s Instagram account is an excellent source of fashion inspiration for smart workwear; you can easily get outfits from Monday to Friday.

Esther’s smart style

As you know, a pantsuit is an outfit that you are wearing for many seasons, and you will continue to do so in spring 2020. The two-piece outfit,  blazer and pants or blazer and skirts, are in many fashion collections next season. The combination is a classic, so it’s something that is worth an investment and makes a perfect transitioning formula.

Esther’s errands

After living almost three years in Dubai and working as Editor-Chief of the luxury lifestyle magazine Citizen K Arabia, the stylist and journalist is back home, Singapore. In the Lion City, the multi-disciplinary marketing professional became Editor-in-Chief of Buro. Singapore. She also contributes to Conde Nast Traveller, among several other projects as branded content, editorial, and digital marketing.

Esther Quek’s Style

Her sense of style and ability to look incredibly feminine in masculine tailored suits have made her a darling of street style photographers during Fashion Weeks. Although her sartorial choices have changed over the years, we still see her donning the great suits that look fab on her.

Turtleneck

Quek knows how to look stylish in a turtleneck. The black one she wore during Milan Fashion Week gives nowness to her outfit and dresses her glamorous look a bit down.

Bold Accessories

Quek balances power suits with bold accessories and fun punk-styled hair. Statement earrings have become her signature. Learn how to master this balance with all the accessories you need to go through Fall 2019 like a glitterati.

Loafers

There are so many times we liked her outfit, for example, this beautiful Dior suit paired with loafers. Her androgynous look reminds us of David Bowie in his chic suits.

Tie

But my favourite looks are when the stylish editor wears what should be a very masculine outfit like a suit with a tie, but manages to look super feminine by adding accessories such as brooches and killer heels.

Colours

She’s not afraid of colours and wore a yellow suit during Paris Fashion Week some years ago. Check the fashion colour trends for fall 2019 to have fun with daring hues this season.

Two and three-piece suits look sexy and fun. Adding the right accessories,  you can wear them to go to the office or for a night out.
